If you remove the link you would violate your licence agreement. For $75 dollars they will provide you with what you are looking for.You can read more on this @ http://www.jmbsoft.com/policies.php

Search the code for keywords "Powered By" then put your 'Delete' key to work (duh)

On the subject, anyone who uses this notice anything screwing up on it since they released the update? I don't know if it's possible, but ever since I noticed there was an update I haven't gotten a single post. Does the script some how screw up if don't update it?

Joshua,
The upgrade on the script shouldn't effect the one you are using now. I'm still using 1. something and am getting new posts. I have noticed however that in the admin, it's no longer showing the latest version available like it used to.

AxelK,
If you want to remove that link the legal way, put out the extra bucks to do it right. They will send you a new file to replace one already running on the script.

Yah Nymph, I was noticing that too. I tried upgrading to the new version and it gave me some error message. So I uninstalled and and reinstalled from scratch and I get some gay error message with the init.cgi. And in order for me to get support, I have to pay atleast $9.75 cause my support that came with the script has run out. That's the biggest load of shit there is. Charging for a script then charging monthly for support on the script.

Joshua,
Please don't tell me that! I'm just getting ready to do the upgrade myself here.

Hit me up on ICQ 38293895, I might be able to help...I'm not half bad with cgi scripts

I figured it out. I just created the directories that it was saying it couldn't access and it worked. Except I can't access it now because my current host setup some weird and special way to call the .htpasswd. Goes through some CGI file in my main directory. Thanks for the offer though.

AxelK

do you expect one of us will post this "illegal" action here?

1) its illegal
2) its damn easy
3) why not buy the script, its cheap

think about it.

Eh Nymph, if you install the upgrade and it works 100%, let me know. I got this working, except it's saying what it was before when I just tried to update instead of reinstall. Something from the setup.cgi when I submit the changes saying I don't have permission to do it?
