I installed XP on a different drive and I'd like to keep using this one. I re-installed ICQ (actually the new version, the old one was nowhere to be found) and I'd like to import my old settings, users I've added and history from the other drive. Anyone know how to do this, what files/directories I should copy?

And another thing, does anyone know where and what settings to change in XP in order to open a file/folder when double-clicked in the Windows Explorer, instead of opening that fucking search box? I have "double-click to open files" selected already, but this doesn't seem to do, where else can this thing be fixed? It's annoying the living crap outta me...

Thanks for your help.

just copy and paste the contents of the directory, with your icq number, and paste this into your new icq directory ..overwriting all files currently in this directory....

laters,
Chris

maybe it's more comfortable to use Trillian instead?

Does Trillian have better functionality than ICQ? I am very happy with ICQ. But I'm always looking for a better product.

Just a tip,

You should go to download.com and search for ICQ backup.

I use a small program that create backup of my data, messages, buddies.

one push to backup
one push to restore

very easy

see ya
