hi everybody, A little of the area topic here - sorry:-) Any profs that can tell how to copy playstation games on a cd burner for BACKUP purposes:-)) I tried to copy game but cd drive wont even recognize it. My kids are getting furious with me!!! Please advice thanks

Nero Burning Rom (Ahead) (4.0.0.5 or higher) This is hat you need: - A MOD chip, which must be soldered into the Playstation. - A CD recorder capable of burning CDs using the "disc at once" method. - About 700MB of free drive space to store a CD image file. Proceed as follows: 1.Start Nero 2.Insert the Playstation CD in your recorder 3.Choose the menu command File->CD Copy 4.Select the page Copy Options and uncheck the on the fly option. Select your CD recorder as input device and choose (for safety considerdations) 1x as read speed. 5.Open the page Read Options and select (if these options are available for your recorder): "Read media catalog number and ISRC", "Continue copying", "Data Mode 1": "Force Raw reading" "Write uncorrected", "Data Mode 2": "Force Raw reading" "Write uncorrected", "Read audio with subchannel", "Ignore read errors" and uncheck "Jitter correction". 6.Open the Image page and choose a harddisk drive with at least 700MB of free disk space. 7.Select the page Burn and choose (for safety considerations) 1x as write speed. 8.Click the Burn button ************************************* Procedure for DiscJuggler (Padus) (1.05.238 or higher) Backup Instructions: - Start DiskJuggler (1.05.238 or higher). - From the action-bar choose View and select Options. - In the Options window select the Verify tab and select the Check data blocks with software generated EDC/ECC... option (if not selected already). - In the Options window select the Defaults tab and change the Max image size to 80 min(s) (for v1.05.238) or 85 min(s) (for v1.05.238-TU RADIUM). - When ready click [OK]. - From the action-bar choose File and select New. - In the New Task window select CD Player to CD Recorder and click OK. - In the Task 1 - CD Player to CD Recorder window select the following settings (all other settings should be left default): Source & Destination Tab Source - Select Source CD-Reader Destination - Select Destination CD-Writer (if needed) Advanced Tab ISRC and UPC - Select Scan gaps/indexes - Select Raw read/write - Select Ignore read errors - Select Read speed 1x - (when possible select a faster speed) Action Pull-Down menu - Select Write Copies - 1 Methode Slower/Faster Select Save the entire contents of the disc in a temporary file and write a 1X. - When ready click Start to start the copy process peace

backup purposes ? <img border="0" alt="[ROTFLMAO]" title="" src="graemlins/rotflmao.gif" /> I suppose those playstation discs ya got just might self distruct without giving notice <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />

Although, playstation 2 games are copy protected, and you need a patch to burn em'(the case with some psx 1 games). But most psx games can be burned with a simple cd burner

kids wreck playstation games I wish I still had good copies of my original versions of GTA I & II those top down games were fun, too

You need a cd burner or dvd ripper to back up psx 2 games, not a mod chip. I heard there was a swap trick for psx 2, but mod chips are always more effective
