View Full Version : $8 per domain?
I had to reformat and forgot to backup my favorites.
I used to have a link to a registrar which charges only about $8 per domain name.
Anybody here know it?
Thanks!

http://www.directi.com/ I think, but they only work through resellers and the $8 per domain is only for .biz and .info domains...
I'm not sure though.

I think only for resellers and companys but not realy sure since i use OpenSRS for domains.
http://www.srsplus.com/de-def-9733e487a386/en/srsplus/partners_pricing.shtml
.com/.net/.org -> $8.00
.biz -> $7.30
.info -> $7.75
.tv -> $35
if you buy more then 250 a month (who knows):
.com/.net/.org -> $6.00
.biz -> $5.30
.info -> $5.75
.tv -> $30

While we're at it: can anyone explain to me why some ask $8 per domain and others up to $15 per domain?
US$8 and UK£8 is not quite the same...
I know ;)

Why do some gardeners charge $150 when others charge $50..
Because they CAN :)
now godaddy may be out of business in a year who knows, but for now since its ICANN registered, no worries :)

i still go through joker, even if they're not still the cheapest, because i'm already set up there. i just log in, type a few characters, and bam i have a domain. i don't have to deal with entering my company address my contact address etc. same reason i used netsol for too long, heh..

Well, I don't mind entering all the info again. Besides, I'll probably eventually move all my other domains to them when they are about to expire.
I used to use Directnic, which charge US$15 per year. Now, that's $7 bucks in savings! You could almost register twice amount of domains at the same price.
Frankly, there's no reason to charge $35 for domains because everything is automated.
I remember in the old days when internic would charge $50 per year with 2 years in advance payment. I bet they made a shitload of money doing almost nothing. They're probably still making money today since many people still go to networksolutions to register their domains.
