Smoking cigarettes at your computer?

Is this that bad for your computer? Other than ashes getting in your keyboard, does your fan suck in smoke or anything? I usually go outside to smoke, but tonight, when i lost my script database, I found myself needing a cigarette quite badly, yet having to work furiously nonstop at restoring my database.

I had been chain smoking while on the computer ever since I have been online, I had just got pnemonia and was laid up for about 3 weeks and the doc said it was partly because of smoking, so I decided to quit, havent had one for 19 days now.

Does anyone know if ciggarette advertising bans apply to the internet?
Who wouldnt bulk buy from china rather than paying the prices over here??? Surely there would be loads of people who would import ciggarettes through the internet if they knew how you'd save 100's a year right

To answer your question, blind, YES the computer does suck in the smoke. Open the machine after a few months of this and you'll find a greasy yellow film covering everything in there, not to mention it will smell like an ashtray left out in the sun too long.

It's not good for the electronics, to say the least.

I've been smoking next to computers since there have been microcomputers and the only problem I've ever had is the damn things get all jittery until I've lit the first cigarette of the morning...

I smoked everyday around all of my puters and it never hurt them, besides making them that nasty yellow color and sticky http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif good luck to you Mr Exotic you got me beat i been with out one now for 14days, to me it seems the longer you go without the easier it starting to get the first few days i was going nuts and couldnt sit at the puter 5 minutes without getting up lol

The big problem was the ashes on the keyboard, but if you shake it it will be ok... and maybe you get a little bit scared when you'll imagine what is in your lungs when you'll see what remains on the table after a shake.

A good advice: QUIT SMOKING!
