I just noticed that AG sql does not update the archive pages when a gallery is rotated out from the main page.

It just moves the gallery into the archive database, but it doesn`t update the html.

Am I overlooking a setup thing or is that feature not existant in AGP sql?
It worked great in AGP 1.1.0

Thanks,

Dan

just a wild guess:

When you rebuild you pages, do you only select "rebuild main page(s)" ?

Normally, when you select "rebuild all pages" or "rebuild archive pages" your achive pages should get updated with the data in your archive database.

nah viper2K1

if i remember, Dan has a few of his sites (nichesitez is the one im familier with) setup to recieve partner submissions, and each time a new gallery is submitted, the main page is updated
my guess is the script does NOT update the archive pages automatically like it does the main page, and thats what he is trying to figure out, like he wants to figure out how to get the posts added by partners to also automatically regenerate the archive pages along with the main page

this is just a guess tho

dan, if you knew enough perl im sure you could always "edit" it
if it was in php all id do is have the auto-rebuild function that rebuilds it when a partner submits, and id add something in that to have it rebuild "ALL" pages, perhaps just having it do an fopen() of like admin.cgi?password=pass&yadavar=1...
or something similar

as far as i know however, there isnt a like little setting for it
you can always ask in the owners section of jmbsoft

anyway, good luck

Last wild guess, don't know if it will work tho:

setup a cronjob to execute your
/path/to/ags/admin/admin.cgi?fnct=execute&function=rebuild_arch

a couple times a day
