With all the other more popular singers, bands and idols in Japan, not to mention the far more ubiquitous Nippon porn sites, I think it's way too much of a co-incidence.

man.. ive had that site show as a referrer way way way back when i first started years ago and where my site would get like 500 hits a day and I thought that was buku of hits.

I always wondered why in the hell that site always showed up seeming its from asia and about a girls rock band and has tomato cartoons? lol

All webstats pick up errors
for example if a surfer has more than one web page open when they visit your site you sometimes pick up the information from from other open pages.
There is just no way that this is a coincidence, it is obviously a large scale monitoring system and all the webstats are proof of this, I cold name a thousand websites that are vastly more popular that I NEVER pick up in my stats.
Not to mention your average porn surfer is surfing porn and you will tend to find that the errors you pick up are porn related or will indicate what links on your own site are popular with your own surfers (when they don't link back)
I understand math well enough to understand that all of this in not simply coincidence, if there was such a thing as a counter virus these guys would be the most successful on the WHOLE of the internet.

Do a search for "Mozilla", with a hex-editor, of all the files in your explorer and windows directories. Then replace that string with your own. It seems that Proxomitron which is a popular web filter and was create by a fan of this band has these lines in the default configuration.

Name = "Hide Browser's Referrer from JS"
Replace = ".referrer.substr(0,0)+"http://www.mmjp.or.jp/knife/""

That means that a person surfing using this software with the above default setting on will send the referrer http://www.mmjp.or.jp/knife/ too all Java Scripts (all the remotely hosted counters are java script).
