With all this free content on the net now are surfers still willing to shell out the cash for a paysite?

I've been interested in doing a paysite for awhile now and since content isn't all that exspensive and i've got good deals on bandwidth it seems like a rather safe investment but is the money there?

Good question, one I too would like to hear answered, though I am aware that there can be significant financial out lay for setting up CC processing ( I'm in the UK, I understand it's more expensive here than in the US ), and content that is specialised is somewhat more expensive than the norm, is it still a viable route? Does one have to look at a niche market for any hope of profit?
Hhmmm...

Members are hard to keep. If you have a nich that is not everywhere with UNIQUE contnet and can afford to update evry other day then go for it. =) If not then i do not suggest it

Brandon- if you can sell 10 members/day yourself them you probably have enough traffic to start one,
Content is expencive, because you need millions of pics and videos. a few thousand is hardly enough. (hun lists 3000 free pics daily)
fredicus-You dont need to spend anything to accept Creditcards. Both ccbill and ibill are free to setup and include a webmaster program

a normal paysite is hard to compete against them mega paysites like ARS and maxcash,,

and content isn't cheap,,but pics are,,,
the hardest part is keeping members,,and members want is movies and live feeds and that can be expensive,,,

if you don't have big money to invest,,then you should either do partnership program or just do an AVS gold site
