Hi everyone!

I was hoping to get some stories from every one about past ISP's you all have used. PLEASE i would like to hear from every one.

I am opening a hosting service soon. Beeing a webmaster for over 5 years. I know what I expect from a host. But I would like to know what you would EXPECT from a host. I would like to hear some bad things, some good things. Only so i know what the masses look for in a host.

Some things that i EXPECT from a host:

1 - Free tech support: If i have a problem i want to be able to speak with some one about it. Email or on the phone.

2 - SPEEDY REPLY: It pisses me off when i receive an email back from my host 3 days later about a simple question.

3 - UP-TIME: Down time can fuck you over, so the host better know what they are doing.

I could list more, but like i said i know what i like, but i am looking for some info from ALL of you!

Entangled web: This company has got to be the biggest load of shit i have ever delt with. Yes they are secure, they are fast. But, i am moving a domain from them to my servers. I swear as soon as they got the email from Network Solutions that i was moving my domain they redirected my traffic to their pay site. It takes 24/48 hours to update the DNS info. So for 24 hours i loose all my traffic. WTF is that? Nice way to keep some one comming back. And Craig if you have an alias here. GO FUCK YOUR SELF!!!!! YOU SERVICE IS A LOAD OF SHIT!!

Now yes, i do want to make money form my company. What i am trying to do here is get an idea of what you look for in a host. So i can offer you the best service that i can. Help me help you http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

well you listed the more important ones....
fast support is important....
always inform clients of expected downtimes for some reason, or anything they should be informed of...
being fast is important, but i think to have near no downtime is extremely important...
thats about it.....

Well all members of the company have a pager ATM, that will be paged if our servers go down. Palm V's are on the way though http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

So if it does go down, it will be up within moments.

Also a 1-800 line is beeing purchased, for tech support. I don't think a live person 24hrs/day YET. But we will take voice messages 24 hours/day.
