while im sitting here on my ass waiting for my dns to update with dotster so my server will be online again, i thought i'd check out vegas. i have never gambled, and im thinking i might give it a shot in january.

so im wondering what's everyones favorite game and why? any suggestions for a beginner? :D

My favorite is Roulette. I don't know why exactly, I guess I find the odds are pretty good, even though mathematically they're not :-)

Well, I did find it, in 1 online casino...thanks god, a lot of online casinos gives the opportunity to play for "fake" money...so I can test my calculations befor playing for real ,...and guess what? When I began with 1k$ yesterday, after 1 hour of playing, I won 10k$...

Hope it'll be like that when I'll play for real money, in the same online casino :)

Roulette is accually a game that the casinos use to make money because the lose ratio is so high.

My favorite is blackjack. I am on the east coast and I go to Atlantic city quite often, blackjack is the only game that the odds are accually against the house because the casino must hit on 16, when you can stand.

If you perfect blackjack (which is hard, but i beleive can be done to an extent) you can make quite a bit. A guy i know who owns the local beer store goes up there alot and he had just got back from AC and he showed me 10,$5,000 chips that he had just won, thats $50,000 and aparently that isnt even half of what he usually wins and he plays nothing but blackjack.
I recommend going to differnet gambling sites and getting some strategies if you are going to play, I studied the strategies and if you stick with them throughout your whole game, you have a good chance in blackjack.

I used to kick ass at Blackjack when I lived in NJ and played in Atlantic City. But I moved out to CA, went to Vegas, and they had some fucked up different shit(at least at the Luxor). So instead of hitting the screaming drunk at the table with my bar stool, I go tup and played craps.

Craps and Blackjack are the two games that give the player the best odds. If you find a hot craps table, you will never forget it. A hot shooter will make you a shitload of cash real fast. the worst table is one where the shooters are hot and cold. If they stay hot, you can bet with them. If they all suck, you bet against them. That won't make you popular (you are laying money down and betting the guy sucks) but you will win money :D
Dawgy - go get yourself a PC Casino game, and fuck around with Craps and Blackjack. Roulette can be good, if you have a robot spinning the ball into the wheel at the same speed all the time, but all they have to do to fuck you up is roll the ball at a different speed, or speed up, slow down the wheel. It throws off the pattern when they do that shit.

Either you are drunk or crazy. Only counting cards is the way for the player to have an advantage over the house in Blackjack. Trust me I know what i'm talking about when it comes to Blackjack. Hell, I just got back from Vegas and lost 1,000 in BJ. =[

If a game has odds against the house, guess what, the house wouldn't allow it; they'd drop the game. So unless you got incredible memory and can count cards (even if you can, most casinos rotate cards on every hand now), then there's no advantage anymore for the person. House must have the advantage if they plan on staying in business.

Yes if I couldn't play Video poker, I would definietely play carribean stud! I've watched my friend play. It's a good game and you can win.

Wow you lost $1,000, I have lost over 10,000 in blackjack, but I have also won more than that. Just because you lose doesnt meen it cant be beet, and everyone loses when they gamble once in a while, that is why it is called GABLING. But if you look at statistics and do some research you will see that blackjack gives you the best odds, also, havent you ever seen the TLC special about casios in vegas, even they say that blackjack is the most promident game.
