Question..

Im using now CJPro for my trades. Now i have this question. When i will switch to lets say UCJ or Blindio, Scorpio or whatever what script, must i setup all the trades again..?? I mean now my trade partners are sending hits to .../cjproin?sitename and with the other scripts hits can send directly to the root.. http://site.com. Or can i switch from CJPro to another script whitout all this...??

CJPro worls fine sofar, i dont have any trouble with it, but my site is growing now, not hard, but it grows every day so in a couple of months i will switch to another more stabile script.

I would make the switch over now. I don't mean the script but you can have the sites you're trading with to send hits to your domain using CJPRO for now. Soooo you don't have to worry about it later...

BTW lets trade...I need big trades

if your CJpro is counting hits from your root directory you shouldn't have a problem switching scripts. If every trade is sending to your CJPro script then yes you'll have to get your trades to change the url they are sending hits to you with.

You can do what I did when I changed from ucj 1.3 to Cjpro.

First I asked every trade to change the url to my site.
Since I couldn't do it automatically and some trades would take some time to change it, I used both scritps for some time and placed some links to my ucjout.cgi and others to cjproout.cgi

This way I was able to track all incoming hits and I could repay every trade.

It worked great and my site didn't lose any traffic http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi Guys http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

I did not post here for few months....
but I wanna help you Pinox.

I had CjPro on my sites before and I got RB2 script later so I had the same problem as you have: how to keep my traffic......

I did the following.... After RB2 script was installed and my HTML page was ready I made the cgi file named in.cgi (earlier i renamed cjproin.cgi to in.cgi) so you make a file named cjproin.cgi. In this file i wrote:

#!/usr/bin/perl
print "Location: http://www.mydomain.com/\n\n

Then I uploaded my HTML page with links to new script and I replaced my old in.cgi with my new in.cgi I explained above (cjproin.cgi for you).

So I lost no traffic at all.....
I wanna say thanks to Run (he made RB2) because he suggested to use that trick http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

You can use Apache rewite engine, that works better if you have much traffic.

Or even better.
Delete it and send your 404 traffic to your mainpage http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif
