Hello all. Sorry to drag you down daddy but I have something to say. ;)
You'll forgive me I hope buddy

It's about the proliferation of ES, UJC, LINKX etc.
Yes I also have a couple linkx sites. No I don't mind the competition.
(The more people out here trading traffic the better!!!! This just means more
people/sites that I can trade traffic with.)
Speaking as someone who isn't NEW to this. (I have been trading traffic going
on close to 2 years now. And I have never badmouthed ANYONE!!!)
The problem is with the tactics many of these new sites are using.

IE
NO content (I MEAN NOTHING. Not even 1 real link to be found.)
This is ok I guess but not real cool for the surfer. (I doubt you can get
bookmarks like that.)

More importantly is the use of excesive JAVA.
Come on guys!!! You wonder why the existing CJ sites shun you sometimes.
It's probablly because of your JAVA.
Many people use the Expand the page to full screen java so that the surfer can't
get back to the site they came from. In my book this is outright stealing traffic
and not trading. (Yeah I know you are going to say well everyone else does it)
Well this didn't used to be the case. And everyone DOESN'T do this.

The other thing is MAJOR popup consoles. I have always kept my trades going
ONLY to sites that have ONLY 1 console. WHY you say??? Who cares if I have 7000 popup consoles??
Well because when you try and have more than 1 console you are VERY likely
crashing surfers browsers. (especially netscape browsers.)
This means that the surfer is FORCED to turn off his computer.
Well not many people use netscape anymore you say?? Not true. Look at your
stats. Most counters will give you this info. And many people REFUSE (like me) to
be forced to use microsofts browser and will NEVER convert.
Even if the percentage you are seeing is as low as 10% (normally it's closer to 20%)
This means if you send traffic to a site that crashes netscape
YOU ARE LOSING 10% of your possible Sales/Traffic to this joker.
Even if a best case when your site ISN'T crashing browsers many times when the
surfer sees console after console coming up he just starts closing ALL the windows
trying to escape and when he gets back to MY site (OR YOURS) he closes that too
just to get out of the mess he finds himself in.
This also means that he won't even GLANCE at YOUR console. He probablly so
pissed off at the consoles that he closes it as quick as he can.


Yes I know that you see your buddies shooting to the top of the charts.
Yes I know that there is SOME productiveness even on the 75th console on your site
But after the first one or 2 most sufers wont click ANYTHING on a console
(The returns on consoles get worse and worse the more you have)
And yes I know you all feel that you deserve to get 100000 hits on your first day.
Since you saw someone else do it.
But COME ON. Can't there be some kind of reason involved.
Before this recent EXPLOSION of script sites there was a gentleman's agreement
between most of the top CJ sites that 1 Console is PLENTY!!

Isn't there some way that people can come together on this??
Noone likes to be told how to design thier site. Although 99% of these new sites
are just blatent copies of mine or someone elses site anyways.
(Changing colors really isn't much of a change. ;)
Please Please PLEASE!!!! Can't everyone come together and make a decision as
far as what is ENOUGH? If everyone agrees it CAN be done. It was done before.

This I believe is the reason that many of the already existing sites are so
reluctant to trade with the new circle jerk sites. They have no kind of rules
and feel it is there right to do ANYTHING they want (Know what? It IS there right)
But it is YOUR right to not trade with sites that do this.

I'm sure I will get flamed for this but I had to say it. People are ruining it
for people that use some kind of reason in there site design.
Help me out here guys!!! You CAN make $$$ without this. (I made 10k last month ;)

PS thanks for giving me a place to whine and complain ;) Sorry I go on so long.

I agree with your statements sonic, I am new to CJ site but I am not a new adult webmaster at all. Right now I do not have any pop ups on my site, and I have a link to my clean TGP. =) So I have a little bit of content. I try not to link to sites with excessive amounts of pop ups, to me it seems that it hurts the traffic for everyone. I mean if I went to a site and clicked a link and 50 pop ups popped up, I really I doubt I would come back to the site were I clicked the link. So I think that excessive pop ups hurt traffic for everyone.

About design, yes I see that a lot of the sites you the same design, I know that I have designed my own site and I get a good surfer/click ratio, I might get flamed for this but when I added my Nude Brittney Spear links to my site, I don't recall seeing other cj sites with those type links. (Yes I saw the nude brittney spears links on different pages but not cj) and since then I have seen at least 3 sites with nude brittney spears links, the only thing I can say about that, is to keep your links fresh. =)

on badmouthing:
i've pointed out 2 guys who were sucking my traffic.. one was actually cheating by sending out exit traffic as ES out hits.. the other was opening exit consoles on top of the pages he trades with, so i just wanted to give a heads up to everybody and let them do as they see fit with the information. I'm not here to bullshit or badmouth anybody.. quite the contrary. Even though i've only been in this thing for about 2 weeks (not counting the time i spent writing my script ;) ), i'm glad to have a BBS where i can bullshit with other ppl doing this same thing and swap ideas and tips for maximizing our revenues :)

on consoles:
i can't really speak here about exactly how many is necessary. i have a little one on entrance, then a 2 console chain on exit, and the majority of my outclicks come from these 3 versus the links on my page. I agree that huge chains are indeed annoying as hell, and should be banned, as well as full-screen consoles, but i think it's up to the individual webmasters involved in the trade to decide who has or doesn't have an acceptable # of consoles

on window.resize on entry:
i think this is fine.. we've talked about this before, you know where i stand, but everybody else doesn't. I think it's perfectly acceptable to resize your page to fill the screen when it's loaded. When your link is opened in target="_blank", there's no way of knowing how big or small the window could be. It's going to be the size of the last window closed before your browser was last shut down. This could be a normal window, or a tiny console, and I think it's only fair to try to make sure that your site is fully visible when it's opened

as far as sites having no content:
I don't think this is anything to complain about. I didn't ever really think that CJ traffic, toplist or script& regular trading was about content, i thought it was about jerking the surfer around until he gave up and bought a membership ;)

regarding the proliferation of new sites, mine included:
I think we can all trade and be happy, provided nobody tries to fuck anybody else, and we can come to agreements regarding what is and isn't valid in a trade. I think this will be the problem though, because not every site reads this board, and although i would like to come to an agreement, i think a lot of little sites will be screwed if they try to follow this agreement, but the bigger ones don't.

There are 3 things I do not trade with..that being CP description, unclosable window, and password hacking site.

Of the three, what I hated the most if the cp description. So if there needs to be any agreement we should make, is that NONE OF US should trade with any site using CP description.

It is not only illegal in US, it is also morally wrong to promise that kind of content.

Well, as far as consoles, it is becoming that everyone are doining it and if don't do it you will get screwed...

Everyone doesn't do it. Because I know that I don't. And I will make some good money off it no matter how many consoles people out here are popping. But they won't get any of my traffic. Traffic like that isn't as good anyways. Makes your counters go high. But I am looking at a different counter. It starts with a dollars sign. ;) Browswer crashing people with a million popups are losing sales and making each extra console less valuable.

There are always people who insist on doing this. I just don't trade with them. Not very good traffic I think. And not somewhere I want to send my surfers.

note that according to the statute, not only is it illegal to possess or distribute child porn, but it is equally illegal to entice persons with promises of its receipt. READ: "9 year old lolita fucked up ass 4 first time" link is just as illegal as having the picture

Yeah.. I felt very uneasy about the word "lolita".. but there is not much I can object to since it can be a name and only has the connotation...

I do not use that word on my site though and I have done pretty well without using that word. But hopefully someday webmasters will not have to use that word anymore to get outclicks...

Could someone explain a little bit more what would and would not be counted as excessive console use. I have been using and entrance console forcing a second page behind my main page and also an exit console from the second page. I find I gat a lot of hits from both console and second page.

I would love to see an argeement on what is exceptable and I am more than willing to go by it if it is resonable.

And page copying I throw my hands up my site was 100% a copy of several site the reson for this is thisis a totally new game to me and the best way to learn is by looking at what is working already. I, and sure others that have copied site, are not doing this to insult anyone just to learn. Maybe one of the people who have been doing this for a while could put up a tips and pointer page to help newbies (like me) to start writing there own page I really think it must knock surfer click ratio when they keep seeing the same or simalar page over again

I can assure u that I am right. Being a current 3rd year law student, I have study the statues in that regard. They can bust u unless you hire a good lawyer who can play into the intepretation to get u out...

Besides, those visitor of yours who report u to the FBI is not very likely to click on they link to make sure there is no such content.. They will be disgusted by the link and report u anyways. If you are willing to risk it, go for it.

I think you can have problems in various jurisdictions with any titles suggestions suggesting illegal material, or if you use a link with a personality's name. Arjay2 addressed the first. In respect of Brittney Spears etc, a person is entitled to profit from the use of their likeness or name, unless you are using an article ( free speach thing). However, if you try to sell something using her name, that is another matter. In practice, it is just too hard for these celebs to do anything about - it seems compulsory nowadays to use Brittney's name on a CJ site, but some have tried with success.

The most important thing is the dollar sign (I totally agree with Sonic), What for you're fucking infront of your computer(by doing tons of consoles) and look at the stats but yet your site is crashing peoples' browsers. This is what I hate :(. Well I know there is plenty of people like to get the short cut to get to the #1 possition on the ST counter or WSS or whatever counter they preffer. But lets think of this way.

1. you are eating your own bandwidth and other webmasters' bandwidth

2. you're producing only $2-3K a month.

3. you make people that browse on the internet black list what it is known ass porn or fucking word.

4. you screw up the entire porn business industry on the internet.

5. hey my site now has 600K hits on the ST Counter, wanna trade with my site...?(Proud is the only thing they have in mind yet producing no sign up)

Do you thing people will trade with your site that has low sign up ratio...?

Speaking with the income I honestly say that I'm not producing as much as Sonic does but it is enough for me to buy two prestige apartment every year.
