Well I haven't seen anyone talking about sponsorship information so I guess I will start it. What is everyones take on sign ups to click thrus, or flat rate to recurring.

Right now I am advertising 2 places for recurring, I have talked to a few people who say that flat rate is better, but to me it seems the sponsors that offer flat rate have been seen everywhere (ie maxcash, trafficcash), I thought maybe niche sites would do better from CJ traffic.

I see a few people using the amatuer pages sponsor. How is that doing for people? I also got an offer for selling my exit traffic, I thought about that, but I would think they would pop a bunch of pop ups which I don't really agree with. Well I hope this started some talk about sponsors.

Well here is my take on sponsers.

Reccuring deals are best. Though it will take longer to see this. (IE They will pay MORE over the long run most of the time. BUT you will not see this until some of your members have been on for a few months. But if you build up a member base with one of these programs AND it is a good site you will be happy I think after a few months) Plus of course if you lose your traffic or server goes down the money keeps coming in.

Click are good for quick cash. Though I don't think there are THAT many GOOD click programs out here. Most of them will CLAIM to have no ratio. HEHE I've been kicked from a few so called NO RATIO Click programs ; ) The important thing with these is the banners. (Since normally they wont allow you to make your own and are STRICT about this with click programs.)

Flat sales programs. Ditto with what I said about click programs with one difference. You are unlikely to get kicked from one of these. You could still make more with a reccuring deal although it will take a few months before this is proven true.

Selling exit hits/clicks.
Well this is a crapshoot. Some of these guys actually pay. But I have given exit clicks to one of these guys and he flat RIPPED ME OFF!! He pressured me into sending him EVERYTHING I COULD. I Sent him 40k hits in one day. But then he didn't pay ;( I have heard of people that DO pay. But like I say your taking your chances since normally you will have to be reffered to someone that does this from a fellow webmaster. (most of these guys don't have a website where you could just sign up or something.) And if they cheat you there is no recourse really. (Well maybe I just don't have time to try and sue him.)

Blind hits. Well there used to be some good ones. But they seem to drop out of existence. (One of them oweing me $1500 when he did this. IE trashclicks.com) Most of these use and ENTER button to track whether you get paid for the hit. Normally this enter button is buried at the bottom of the page. And they will STILL be making $$$ off the banners that AREN'T buried at the bottom. And normally they will send the exit from your blind hit to a sponser TOO. Again with no credit to your account. It can be useful for a bit of extra cash though.

The most important thing about sponsers is the banners I find. This is why I make my own (Well for reccuring deals anyways.) I get much better sales I think because I have banners that other don't have and I can make them fit my site better.

Others have told me that Text links sell better. Maybe for them. But not for ME ;)
I think they use the wrong banners.

I have been told by more than one sponser that the sales I get are above average for sites with the same kind of traffic or even more. I have even had 3 sponsers tell me that I get more sales than anyone IN thier program.
