hey all
I was just wondering, it says right there on krister's page that ES has a hit-shaving feature. I've noticed that some ES sites i get knock-down bad ass trades with, while with others, i can't wring a trade out of them, no matter how hard i try. Does anybody think this could be because of this shaving feature? E.G. my good trades have it off, and my bad ones have it on? It's nothing to do with ratio, because some trades i supposedly have 233% on, and i get about 1/4 of my hits back, while others i have a lower ratio and can hardly send hits back fast enough. Any comments on this?

I own an ES site
And there is no hit shaving feature..
Boy how do rumors like this even get started?
I have same probs with scripts too
Some sites i can trade with real good and others i just send & send and get squat.
So its the same on both sides of the fence.
For example on of my very best trades is with a UCJ script. But there is another UCJ i cant get to send me anything. Same with LinkX and ES...
I dont know why it just does..
I think alot of it has too do with when we reset our lists.
Some do it in morning ,afternon, night.
Unfortunaly

Straight From the ES page
http://www.xempire.com/es/
"Special features - ability to start a partner with hits from the start, ability to "shave hits", ability to edit in/out hits on the fly."
Though this may just mean that the hits are editable.

I see what was written here...
All this is is the abilty to add or take away
hits. Same as all other scripts. Like for example when we would start a trade by forcing 100 hits as im sure all of you have.
Basicly it has that abilty..But as far a shave hit but or switch it doesnt have one :)
And if did you would have to be stupid to use it.. How the hell are you gonna grow by shaving hits to anyone?
I think Krister really worded this sentence wrong. And it was taken the wrong way.

ok jaz, thanks for the feedback. I don't use ES and i haven't seen the source, so i didn't know whether or not this was the case, fortunately it isn't. I can see how people can grow by shaving hits though.. any non-script trade where avg joes are sending in hits, it would actually be beneficial (although pretty fucking lame) to shave their hits and pay the excess back to your trades. I was just curious, glad to know this kind of thing isn't happening :)

Good to hear Jaz.
At least you now know how the Rumour got started. Straight from the ES site itself .. hehe :-)
