I have been wondering about this for quite a while, why is the netpond board not threaded like this one? Maybe I'm missing something, but going through a long list of unsorted messages is very annoying and time consuming.

Those boards can be a pain in the ass when you are looking for something you saw a day or two ago.

the worst part is that most of them puts
the new messages on top so you have to read
from the bottom to follow the msg's...

Dont like those kind of boards either.

Because generally to get an idea of what's the chat is about You have to visit the place a lot and those boards sometimes give a false idea of "community" wich is not very good because in reality it is just an outdated bad script.

Which is sorta funny. You know like,
-"Why wont You change the script? This one actually sucks.."
-"We wont change it because it is so cool and we had it for years! We're the oldest, best and most important people of the adult internet..."

I am not sure if You understand my point, but I really dont know how to explain it, so I'll just say that this sucks.
Round a year ago I heard so much about this "NETPOND ATMOSPHERE" so I grew interested in what the fuck is this all about...
Finally I found the damn place and when I got in my first feeling was that I simply missed the right URL. When I saw I didnt I got the idea that someone really fucked me up, 'cause boring stuff was written all over boring script... I still remember some asshole making a post like

"Good moring everyone."

Good morning my ass really. Who the fuck needs this kind of shit in adult online biz? I mean friends are friends. Buisness is buisness and in some occasion You may even make it with friends. But this sort of thing?

Dont know if I am right,correct or politically correct in what I say,
but at the very least someone who pretends to be someone VIP in internet needs at least software which is a bit younger than Moses himself.

Whatelse: The gamma board, hmm. And the ARS and the MC board. I visit all of them, plus freewebspace.net, webhostlink.net, sitepointforums.com and searchengineforums.com (well that one only apparently because it´s much newbie too, and all the same quesions for years.)

Often I catch myself more on the forums than actually doing some work such as site building hehehe

Well. After all forums are a great power.
But it's mutual I beleive.

I mean You can spend hell lot of money and run ynotnetworks.com and get almost same sales of Your own ads on it as You run a forum like this one (which script costs like what, 300$? ) with just one small exception.

An asshole CANT run a forum like this one.

Saw it also many times. Another ass appears , calls out for newcomers, bring in some old experienced partners and expects to be rich in like couple of minutes.
No fucking way. Forums always show who's who.

That's actually why we dont have too many forums like this one...

Also "closed communities" is a piece of shit actually.
This "closed" thing is just another old as earth way to sell some shit or another.

Seen a thriller called Skulls? Film was crap,but they had a good phrase in it. Something about that there's NO such thing as a good "secret society".

All of them are just attempts to control other people (read - to make money). Which is for one thing not good to do and for another, well, let them control whoever they fucking want because if people allow themselves to be controlled then they are just plain stupid and their commercial value is very very low.

Netpond is a great place for Newbies and I learned a lot of stuff there than I started.
But I think the most big guys that have been there have moved to Netsuprise.

I agree, threaded is the way to go. You can skip the BS you don't want to read and it is way easier to follow a conversation.

Netpond has gotten me pissed off over all the fights, and it was hard for me to skip the ones I didn,t care about, since it's all scroll, or actually follow the ones I wanted to.. heeh
