Alta Vista's traffic is better or Google's?

I'm assuming by better you mean "will use my dialer and make me cash".

AltaVista is probably much much much better, because most people who use Google are big linux-heads, and know a thing or two about computers (and finding free porn).

The dumber the better, you want the people who are new to the net, and searching for the first time. I don't think that's Google http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

I participated in Googles AdWords program, and concluded basically the same thing, the surfers are pretty smart. I didn't do very well with sales...

You do have a point there :-) but what about yahoo that uses google? I don't think people who use yahoo's search are as savvy...

what do you think?

you have a point Aztek, surely the Yahoo/Google partnership would mean most of googles searches are made by yahooers? (/any other partners) ?

google is a really big SE if you consider yahoo/netscape uses it...

Yea i think the majority of the good traffic that is sent to Google is from yahoo and netscape ... considering yahoo probably has the best source of SE traffic... just my 2 cents

wow Hustler1 we live pretty close to each other ;-) I live in one hour north from you... but anyways I do agree with that I'm better of optimizing my pages for google first then others...

Thanks!

I think Altavista is a lot worse than Google, seeing from the reason it's meant (I mean to be a SEARCH engine, not a dead link depot). Now, if it's good for CJ I dunno, but due to the way Altavista's bot works I doubt you'll get a high listing with a CJ . I got good results with sites like Bomis (http://www.bomis.com/ ) and 6finder (http://www.6finder.com) since both are oriented to adult surfers, but I don't know if they accept CJ sites. 6finder has a search bot, so maybe it's easier to be listed

I wasn't thinking about optimazing a CJ and submitting it... I was more thinking about mini sites, then linking those to my CJ..
