Hey this is Nick from pinkworld.com or worldpink.com, after my domain was stolen about a month ago I've been really pissed off, I was making really good money with the 60,000 uniques pooring in everyday until some hacker-type changed that.. anyway I thought about getting out of the circle jerk site scene and starting a site with content but after about a month of this I realized it would take a good year or more to start to get good traffic.. like worldsex.com, I'm sure he has spent a few years on his site to get a lot of traffic, I also realized that running a site with content in return lowers your conversion ratio a ton.. I mean I went from getting 4-5 signups a day to getting 1 signup every 4-5 days.. so if you ever think about giving up on cj sites to start a 'real' site or a tgp I think you better think it over.. nowadays it's almost impossible to start a tgp and expect to get good traffic.. unless you plan on waiting awhile.

Anyways I'm back running my ES site right now.. I am looking forward to kicking ass again and looking for trades perferably ES trades..

thanks,
nick

Actually, my company runs about 20 sites, total. Most of them are legitimate sites, and three are CJ sites. My experience is this: my quality sites convert about 5 times as well as my CJ sites. Therefore, I would never sacrifice any of the time I devote to them.

But the thing is, CJ sites don't use nearly as much bandwidth per visitor, and although it doesn't convert well by ratio, the shear amount of traffic you can generate with half the work more than makes up for it. So of course, I would never sacrifice my shitty sites either.

I guess the point is, both types of sites have their places and their uses.
