Pissed off at my Web Hoster...

I've been with IICinternet for over 6 months. Overall they havent been that great but I was able to get by because I wasnt getting serious traffic so it didnt matter. Now that Im getting decent traffic and need the MySQL database up and running (which i have emailed them repeatedly but they have not fixed) I want to switch. Anyone know any good dependable webhosting plans that are priced well. I liked IIC's prices but i guess you get what you pay for...

What hoster are you guys all on?

IICinternet are COMPLETE morons!!! And they will keep on billing you after you cancelled your server, they do that with everybody.

I don't know nothing about this particular company, but I do know that it isn't good customer service from what you are saying. I am actually in the middle of switching hosts, and I left for similar reasons. I was referred to a very, very, good host in my opinion, by Toker. Oh my god, I had no idea how bad I was being fucked until I started working with my new host. I have had more interaction with my new host in this week, than i ever did with 7 months at my old host.

My advice, run like the wind. If not Toker's recommended host, then someone else. Just get away from your current one.

Oh and did I say I was very happy about my new host? oh yeah, I did. But it's true, he went way above the call of duty for me.

I would give www.candidhosting.com (http://www.candidhosting.com) a look. I've been with them almost 2 years adn could'nt imagine being with anyone else.

I know there are many good host out there, but I like being able to call at 3 in the morning any day of the week and get a real person on the line.

I've had very few issues in the past 2 years with them, but the ones I did have were taken care of within 15 min.

I try and make it a policy of not bad mouthing others in this industry but in this case I have to agree IIC are a sorry bunch. Pathetic server uptime and yes as Battus said they will rebill you after you cancel. I filed a complaint with bbb.org and my bank to get this issue resolved. IIC refused to mediate the situation properly. IIC even accused me of using a ficticious name and address when I signed up. I guess they have never heard of more than 1 person operating a company. If you are a tgp-er numerous tgp scripts won't even be able to check your pages when you submit galleries initially because the response time from the server is too slow!

IIC is a mickey mouse operation which has no business trying to host high bandwidth adult sites. Yes, in this case you absolutely get what you pay for. And headaches are included free!

I currently use Prohosters and though they are upgrading to a new data center right now I have only experienced a slight down time with email last night. Otherwise their customer service has been very impressive and their prices while not the lowest are fair.
