I have golive, but I heard frontpage and dreamweaver are both easier to use.
What are your opinions?

Front page don't suck when you know how to use it all and you know your html ... It's the easier to work with when you know your html .

My vote goes to Dreamweaver 4 -
Using Frontpage gets confused too often on complex html (like nested tables and layers) Importing flash and other applets are alot easier in DW.

Allaire Homesite is the best hands down (mainly for hand coding php and html) ...second is dreamweaver, and of course notepad. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Definitely Dreamweaver 4. FrontPage generates crap code. Never used GoLive...Homesite is pretty good for hand coding HTML.

Could just copy and paste someone elses answer but WTH. DW4 with notepad for the odd tweak bit of code that an editor will fuck up. As has been set front page will do the job but is far too messy.

Frontpage is good for learning and if you have a short patience fuse. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
Dreamweaver is good for layout then notepad to finetune the pages. I actually use 1stPage ( http://evrsoft.com ) and notepad. 1stPage allows for setting up templates real easy unlike DW or FP. They do the template deal as well however 1stPage is easier.
Advice:
Frontpage and Homesite for learning.
Dreamweaver for Quick Layouts and quick simple scripting.
1stPage and Notepad for really doing the tweaking.
Bottom line? Learn HTML and everything else you can get your hands on!
...my 2cents

I work only with Dreamweaver UltraDev 4 and UltraEdit
it's everything about time... if you have a lot of time you can work with few ones at a time http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
i have no time so i make that the most effective and fast way...

Dreamweaver Ultradev 4 is what i use, its much better than front page in my opinion
never tried golive tho
dw makes it easy to make decent layouts fast, then use notpad to tweak the code so the file size is smaller
