Would this be any good to start a free host? I wont list everything: Unlimited disk space Unlimited bandwidth transfer Unlimited email accounts. ASP, CGI, ColdFusion, and PHP supported Frontpage support SQL, and MSACCESS database support SQL space Sites connected on a OC-3 Optical Line (Any Good) SPAM filtering DSN Connections (Good?) Streaming Video/Audio Web Based Upload Custom DLL's WEB TRENDS Daily Stat

What kind of server are you using to run this free host? It will be slower then hell in about a week if you are offering cgi and php. People will use and abuse that thing big time! Just informing you. There has never been a free host to date, that allows adult sites, that has been able to make it when offering cgi. Not to mention the kind of machine you would need, 4 proc with at least 2G of ram.

I can almost say with absolute fact that this setup will fail. We have been running freehosts since '99... all that stuff will kill you within days. If not bandwidth the hardware to maintain that would be way to costly to make it worth your while. Now if you want suggestions to help make it.. Im not going to offer all that to the sites! I wouldn't last a week with all that <img border="0" alt="[Nod]" title="" src="graemlins/nod.gif" /> btw its not a adult host. This one is not adult only. I may come out with a adult one later. Above is what I get.

You're asking for trouble running a free host on with IIS and WinNT/2000. I would recommend FreeBSD or Debian Linux running tigershark httpd or thttpd.

Speaking from my experience of being on the Web since '93 (before most people even knew what it was) and dealing with numerous web hosts, I can honestly say you get what you pay for. I pay $150/month for my hosting right now through Rackspace, but I can say it's definitely worth the money. The only free web host I've seen that was worth a shit was Hypermart, but as far as I'm concerned they're not even worth saving the money to me (and they don't host adult stuff). If you have to go with a free host, pick them. But any free host is going to put serious restrictions on you. For my money, I get root access on a dedicated server. If you want to be serious in the Biz, you have to be willing to pay some server fees. If you can't do that, then why get into the biz?
