I have a problem with Windows. I tried the MS support pages, but couldn't find anything on something so obscure. Windows Explorer and Norton Utilties list my E drive as having about 270Mb free, for example, yet scandisk sees only about 40Mb. Applications often fail writes through lack of diskspace as a result, yet I can sometimes write the file to another drive, then copy it to the intended drive without a problem. That has even affected updates for Norton Anti Virus, so that I've only been able to update the virus definitions after weeks of trying. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix it, without re-installing Windows?
