You can use your own exit chain if the surfer backs out, and you can put a counter on it and see how many hits you really are sending to a sponsor, rather than the bullshit stats the sponsor gives you. These are my reasons for doing it anyway.

I always do it and I use a generic link to it instead of a specific paysite banner - the major benefit is that you can change all your links to any sponsor you want at any given time, fo instance you can set up a teen gallery with teen text links going to your teen full page add - maybe an All Petite add - if you think they are having some problem or you want to test a new sponsor you can just change that full page add to your other sponsor - no need to change thousands of links on all your pages.<br /><br />Plus there is the bonus of controlling your exit traffic.

also some sponsors (like ars) allow you to link to the signup page, so if you can make a better promo, you can make more sales.
