A Dmoz listing is great, not because of the traffic you get from Dmoz, but because of the OTHER search engines that use the Dmoz database.
Been/Was an editor over there for 2 years and yes the traffic is primo.

aol, google, lycos, voila and many smaller ses use their index of adult sites, so the traffic quality after at least month after listing is really great.

DMOZ & AOL give me most of my traffic

Direct traffic from DMOZ is usually pretty lousy.. it's the influence of DMOZ on other engines that counts. When most search engine algorithms try to calculate your site's rank, they take links from DMOZ and Yahoo in to serious consideration.. (and LookSmart too, but they don't do adult. Dammit!)

More info here:

http://hosts4porn.com/articles/searchengines.cfm

Adam

AOL takes most of its results from ODP and Inktomi. What you need to do is find a DMOZ category that fits (dmoz.org/adult) and then submit your site to Inktomi's search engine, which can be done by submitting to HotBot, I believe.

Adam
