Yahoo sucks. I had 5 listings in 2001 and they were all removed in a weeks time. I had unique sites etc. I did 5 chargebacks and have got 1,200 back so far. Yahoo would not return any calls or emails. Now Yahoo charges 600 per year with no guarantee of a listing. The traffic can be good but beware.

I have 12 listings on yahoo, 6 of them paid via the $600 inclusion fee. You can make money from it, but it takes a long time...

WG

I read an article the other day and it said the most popular SE was msn.com

Yeah, if you add up Yahoo, MSN, AOL and everyone else (except Google), then you may come close to google. But generally, Google is number one by far followed closely by Yahoo/Msn in second.

WG

I got 5 site listed on yahoo after paying 600$ for each. Friends if you ur site reject after revieing by yahoo staff. You must using consoles on ur site.

Yahoo staff also give right to appeal and if u appeal u wil get success 90%.

They also reply you if u r suing correct email address. I got reply many times from yahoo staff if i some delay occur in submition.

I think 600$ one time change on yahoo wil rertun 2000 hitd daily. I am getting 5000 cobine hits in all 5 sites.

if u can get 1000 hits a day from yahoo, then i'd say its worth it. over the run of a year thats 365,000 se hits. pretty good cost per click right there. but there's always the chance u get a shit description or don't even get listed. i've heard some horror stories about yahoo.

Desi, it's now $600/year, not a one time fee anymore. Regardless, if you can make $50/month from the traffic you get you'll breakeven. For most sponsors, that's 2 su/month. Sounds too easy huh, well, if you've got a yahoo listing you'll learn that Yahooligans seem to not like taking out their credit cards. There's way too much free porn on Yahoo to really make much money from paysites.

WG

If you have an avs site or paysite on yahoo, then you'll make the money back. Yahoo keeps on fucking delisting my sites cause I have "too many ads." You'll never make it back with a free site.

There's so many sites in their directory, a regular listing is good for about 50 a day...

I paid 600 a few months ago and it was worth it. I made way more than the 600 back in sponsor sales alone within the first month while I still had the "new" button beside my site. I did it by throwing up some ARS banners for the Yahoo suckers. They ate it up. This doesn't even include the paysite revenue.

If you're already making decent money and you KNOW that you can convert, then I would pay the 600 a year listing. In the big scope of things, 600 is really chump change.

This is very sensitive issue.
I have lost 2 listings 3-4 weeks ago, and it was one of the saddest days in my adult webmastering history - these were jewels.
$600 recurring is rip-off, and I doubt there will be many new sites. Most new sites I see, are these #!123-abc-sex-bla-porn-bla.com bullshit sites. I am going to wait until their reviewers stop listing this shit.

if you list avs sites, you should know that some avs's will refund your $600 after you get a few sales from the listing.
