why not only use 3rd party partnerships?

i'm wondering why webmasters don't stick mostly (or solely) to partnerships based on systems like ibill's where they (ibill) pay out the split to the webmaster directly. It would seem that would avoid the issues with non-payments, scammers, etc. no?

While it avoids problems with payment, you CAN still be shaved with IBill/CCBill as your sponsors payment processor. Really nothing to it. But I agree, I would hesitate to trust a small sponsor that didn't use IBill or CCBill..
