I heard rumours about a new law coming out which will ban stuff like peeing, fisting and extreme sites in the US...

I also heard runours about VISA and Mastercard gonna stop processing for peeing/fisting etc. sites

Does anybody know anything about this or have any links which could tell a little bit more about this new law ?

it's not exactly a new law. obscenity has always been defined locally, according to "community standards". this is more a question of re-defining those standards.

here's links to more info

http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=013137

Thanks Basschick

It's not such a big problem if it's locally, then people can just move thier servers I guess, but if VISA and Mastercard don't wanna process anymore, then it's a major problem

I suppose that would explain why the major companies are removing their watersport sites.

WG

Sid Man

Locally is a problem!

It means if a town in Utah thinks your site is obscene, they can and have extrodited webmasters to their local court...

Not anything we can stop, but new/updated internet laws are few and far between. They revert back to old book store laws...

Trust me it has happened and is still happening.
Wow I'm glad I don't live in the USA
They got some weird laws over there
I heard that a virgin is not allowed to have sex in Washington also?

SID MAN - no, a warning page (which has no legal validity) will not keep you out of legal problems. you can end up arrested, your computer and content seized, your site shut down. you potentially could do jail time. you would spend enormous amounts of money in court.

because obscenity is not sexually explicit content, it is content that is deemed harmful to view.

right now, visa is stopping processing for sites that include the word lolita, sites with girls under 18 nude, and things like that. they may well get to other kinds of sites, but that is what is official. and it hasn't been done yet, i don't think.

OK - I never heard of a webmaster getting sued yet, but it might start happening......

I can understand and support what VISA are doing to lolita/underage sites 110%, but if they start closing down processing for peeing sites they are nuts ??

If people wanna piss on eachother , it's their business

SID MAN youd think it would be legal for someone to fuck a girl in the ass, but sodomy isnt legal in some states, not sure on the count or which ones.

So if I can dip my spoon in the chocolate, you can't spill your lemonade.
