Guys go to www.webhostingtalk.com (http://www.webhostingtalk.com) and visit the announcement boards, I've seen some of the best deals there including one at 175$ a month AMD p3 733 256 ram with 300 gigs of bandwith included. You dont see stuff like that here.
Also check out www.rackshack.net (http://www.rackshack.net) 99$ servers includes 300 gigs i believe, well known.
Abby :D
Here's the thread I was talking about on the above post.
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=670bb7feb82f715eebb37e7864f369ec&threadid=27098
My bad the price is 149$ +100$ for 300gigs of bandwith.
Abby :D
Sorry guys too early in the morning, my bad AGAIN. 150$ 300 gigs already included lol :)
Abby :D
Sorry but plusweb (the parent company of colorackspace you quoted) doesn't really have a good reputation as you'll be able to see on this board as well. And rackshack doesn't allow adult content.

There's plenty of others out there with some sick ass deals (better than the ones i've seen here)

I looked at the TOS of rackshack here's what I found.
"You may not use your dedicated rack or virtual site to publish material, which Rackshack.Net determines, at its sole discretion, to be unlawful, indecent or objectionable. For purposes of this policy, "material" refers to all forms of communications including narrative descriptions, graphics (including photographs, illustrations, images, drawings, logos), executable programs, video recordings, and audio recordings."
I'm not sure what they really mean by that.
Abby :D
True their TOS sound a little strange but you can also do a search on it on the board to see that their CEO has often said adult content was not allowed.
They primarily want these customers that pay for 300GBs but use only 100GB. With their Cobalt RAQ offer they won't get much more than 100gigs out of it anyway :)
True but they are offering some Inte's there and we all know those baby's can pump well over 50 gigs a day without pulling a sweat.
Abby :D
True, but for these they charge a rather high setup fee.

They do not allow adult content on any of their servers. That is a violation of their tos and you will be shut down.

Do not ask these questions on boards, ask esp. this type of hosts privately. ;)
"Money talks, bullshit walks."
Hipocrisy & Money. These two "values" is the US based on.

Very true AOL dont allow porn but then again they have or had an area a while back with softcore type stuff showing breasts n shit. They also had a collage girl centerfold with somewhat reveling images like playboy would use on their own servers.
Its all about how much you can drop in the next guys bank account. ;)

Hey Jorge, It's the world that's based on those two qualities not just the US.
As far as "money talks, bullshit walks" I agree with that 100%. And that too is worldwide!

Well for those of you who think I pulled it out of my ass(and like to talk shit) that they dont allow adult content here are a few links for you(few weeks old) so their policy may have changed.

They CANNOT enforce something which is not in the TOS.
I've read the threads and here's what I found...
"20. Adult Content: - Adult Content or links to Adult Content are not permitted on RackShack Servers."
That's taken from the webhostingtalk board, and they took it from the rackshack.net TOS.
I went to the rackshack TOS @ http://www.rackshack.net/aboutus/tos.asp
and their TOS ends at 19, and it seems pretty obvious that rackshack removed #20 which happens to be the porn part. I will take this further and call them on monday, and ask them why the porn part isn't in the TOS.

What a surprise !
Next time, do NOT post it on the board. Lots of porn guys are going to drain their main vein, mainstream guys are unable to plug with their traffic.
--back to the topic--
You can get some sweet deals with "no adult content allowed hosts" who have plenty of bandwidth but customers with low traffic. They usually allow f.i. 1 adult account per a box, and you can get something like 25G/100Megs/10$/1month/2$ per gig overage (my case). It is not for TGP posting but you can be more happy with free sites / avs sites. Recently I have read only good things about cogentco bandwidth ~ you can get shitload of traffic for 50ˇ per gig, no restrictions.
Here is one of my bookmarks, do your own search http://www.hostsearch.com/

Figure with cogent bandwith its 3000$ for 100mb. That's $28.46 per 300 gigs. So they make a HUGE profit after a few months.
That's all for today.
Peace

RackSpace DOES NOT allow porn! I just got off icq with one of the guys from RackSpace. If you need just 100gig and do not mind a RAQ  then go with TeraByte. They offer a simalar package without setup fees. As for me when you get bigger then that 100gig a month try HiEndMedia (http://www.hiendmedia.com) where they can sell you a hell of a sever anf great prices on bandwidth.
