do u know any software that can crawl the imafe on give gallery url, while it should able to save the thumbnail pics & big pics(the link from gallery)

does anyone know the existing of this kind of software?

While I am sure not the original posters intent, finding these programs can be of great use.

Trying them on your own sites can help you figure out ways to stumble it, block it, etc..

Use flash for your pics then you can protect em better.

I'm not sure if I understand your question, are you just looking for a way to just download the thumbnails and the big pictures or are you trying scan a gallery and get a list of the hyperlinks to the images.

Both are very easy to do and I already have some software I wrote for ripping links from web pages.

The scan tool I just used wasn't really designed for ripping links and I don't have one set up at the moment but is that the sort of thing your looking for.
Some software I am writing at the moment involves auto downloading graphics so if you have a legitimate use and you can explain exactly what you want to do I may be able to help out.

I can understand why his request sounds a bit suspicious but surly if some webmaster just wanted to rip off a gallery he would just load it into a web editor and save it to his hard drive.

Takes less work if you have a spider that creates clean leached image dirs and thats what im beting he wanted to do..

Believe me there are faster ways to just mirror the images to your server with a script and generate galleries at the click of the mouse. But this type of script wouldnt be cheap to buy if one even existed but im sure someone has thought of it.

Toker I have read what you said about 50times now and I am sure there is something I am misunderstanding
I'm much more of a web surfer than a webmaster and you guys seem to have a language of your own

Do you mean some software or a script that you could enter a gallery url and automatically download the
gallery to your own hard drive and then remove all the banners and shit so you are left with a clean page
with just the thumbnails left on it ?

It exists and it's free (with limited download) or pretty unexpensive if you want unlimited download. But I won't tell because I know 1 guy will use it for fun and 99 to steal content, so do your own research, sorry
