again, got another annoying problem... dunno if it's cuz of service pack two or what..

anyhow..

here... sometimes, on the desktop, when I put something, I have to REFRESH the desktop to see it... it never happenned before http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

also, on the explorer, when I look at some directory that have sub directories, the little + sign disapears, and I can't no longer collapse/retract that tree... and when I refresh through the edit/refresh option in the menus, or hit F5, it does not refresh the folder (with the folder trees) part..

any ideas?

Win2K yeah. It has always done abnormal things to me.

I had to install it twice, when I first got it, cause it failed to let Office2000 install.
With XP out I don’t know how good SP2 is going to make things. Personally on the
alpha machine (on the network here) I run Win98SE cause that OS seems to be
the most stable (heh right) OS Mr. Billy has to offer so far. I find running Mcafee's
Uninstaller (v.5 not v.6) keeps the OS stable (it has a reg cleaner in it bar-none).

We have 2K on the video machine but that’s the only time I roll the chair over to
that box. 2K always has this glitchy feeling in the core of my digital-soul. The
network fails to show that machine occasionally, updating drivers always acts
strangely (have to do it 2-3-4 times b4 it takes) and other things like you mentioned.

If you have a network consider Win98SE to keep things steadier and you can rely
less on Mr. Billy's "better mousetrap".

I have had uptimes of a week and more on 2k... never could do more than 24hours with the other oses http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

I quit using SP2 because it turned a 1 minute bootup with my SCSI Orb attached into 5+ minutes, sometimes longer. M$ can suck my ass with their shitty SCSI support...
