Hi,

First off I'm new to posting here, but I've been reading this a while. Today I got a form email from my 3rd party credit card biller that told me that my site is selling one or more banned products, and I must cease selling these products "IMMEDIATELY" (their word and capitalisation) via them. I hunted around on their web site and found the following URL listing banned products/services, which has recently changed:

http://www.2checkout.com/products.htm

This list used to be significantly shorter and did NOT include any mention of adult products:

http://web.archive.org/web/20011015023228/http://www.2checkout.com/products.htm

Further correspondence reveals that their bank (and apparently further up the line, Visa and Mastercard?!) are clamping down on sites with inappropriate content. My site was specifically listed as one such site, which is a bit strange as my site only has relatively low level nudity. If this is really true then WTF is going to happen to the online porn industry?

Here's is a quote from my most recent email from the company:

"They listed your site specifically. Visa and Mastercard at least in the US
are adding restrictions to the online porn business in the near future. The
industry is crazy trust me and a huge monopoly. I can fight on some of
them, but I can tell you they will say no way on the camrecord, evidently
visa/mastercard could even give us a big fine"

I dunno what to think yet, it may be just be a localised problem like an anal bank, or it may really be something further up the line. I believe that 2checkout has its hands tied. However, I can't seem to grasp the concept of Visa/Mastercard biting the hand that feeds them. Has anyone else heard anything?

:-\

I guess they just found out some products or servics have higher chargeback rate than the others and decided to get rid of those that make them loose the most money.

I suggest you look after a different CC processor.

With each of the two I got hit with this week, I have to refund the original purchase amount plus pay a $29 fee. To me that seems to cover it - the person who cries their card is stolen is completely exonerated from blame, and the end merchant foots the bill for the fraudulent use of the card.

I did ask 2checkout if it was possible to exempt me, as my site is just a straight webcam archiving site, not even marketed as porn - http://www.camrecord.com/ - but it looks like their bank or someone higher up is sticking to strict categories.

Can anyone recommend a CC processor that offers similar or near features and costs:

 45c per trans plus 5.5%
2 week or lower billing period
air mailed cheque to non USA addresses
OR international wire
OR international ATM card with competitive rates

[/list]I should make it clear that I have been very happy with 2checkout, and it will be a real shame to have to move.

Hey man, Im just curious, how and where do you "collect" these webcam images you sell on your site? "Archived from around the globe"

I ve worked with camgirls one on one for over 2 years now and have never met any girl willing to just give all their pics away to some guy to sell on a site, including and not limited to ifriends girls.

Just curious...

On the adult spinoff version http://www.adultcamrecord.com/ (disclaimer: I don't own this any more and it needs some work badly) it's more like promotion for the webcam pay sites. People like what they see, so they click through to the pay site and sign up. That's how it's supposed to work, anyway.
