I have my old IDX and DAT files for ICQ2000a.The problem is i cant find 2000a anymore. I had a system crash and need to confugure ICQ..... Can anyone help me fond a 2000a download

goto start and click on find files or folders then type 2000a. if that fails then download icq again and hope that people icq you so you can add them to your list.

There's the option to convert your old database. It's in the ICQ folder. Just follow the instuctions.

ICQ2000b can covert all ICQ2000a IDX and DAT files..
so you can install 2000b ;-)

1. Install ICQ2000b
2. Register your old nickname
3. Find the subdirectory "2000b" within the ICQ directory
4. Copy the old 2000a files into the new 2000b directory
5. When you launch ICQ, it will ask you to convert the old database into a 2000b compatible database.
- If ICQ doesn't ask to convert the old database into a 2000b compatible database, then try the ICQ Database Converter, and select the UIN number you want to re-index.
