ok i have the strangest problem and no one can seem to figure it out.
we have a dedicated line over to an isp. my server is colo at another place. we can go to web sites on my server just fine. in fact they fly. but i cannot ftp to my server. nor can i send email thru my server. neither will connect. they resolve the ip of whatever domain, but cannot connect.
at first i thought the ports were closed here in our firewall. but they arent. and i can ftp and relay email thru other servers. so in other words, only my server is blocked. however, there's nothing in the config of anything anywhere that is physically blocking any of my domains or ips.
ive had rackspace check my server over about 20 times and they cant find any reason for this to happen either. so we've decided its at the isp level, since it only happens with this one isp. a few other people have said they get the same thing with their isp, but that seems isolated...
im going crazy here, cuz i havent been able to upload anything in a week and obviously that affects the bottom line.
anyone have any ideas? *sigh*
