Found this host on the tgpowners board, and was wondering if someone has any experience with them.

I just registered a new .com, so I am looking for a great host right now to start my bizz. I looking for about 200Gig traffic, sql, cgi and php/asp support. Let me know what could be offered to me.

We can offer you the above for $400 a month (virtual hosting). 200 GB actual transfer is about 1.8 Mbps billed on 95th percentile (that is what thumbserver uses).

Quashe,

Choosing a good host is very important.

Make sure whoever you host with has top of the line servers and the fastest bandwidth.

Thumbserver is on Verio's backbone (128.241.79.1). We are extremely fast and the cheapest on the net.

$230/Mbit=320 Gigs
$.71 a Gig
Month to Month
No Contracts
Free Dedicated servers for anyone who needs 5 Megabits or more.

Linux (Red Hat) or Win2k Professional servers available.

We have MSQL, MS Enterpise SQL, Apache, IIS, Perl, CGI, PHP and ASP. Whatever you need we have it.

Drop me an icq if you want to talk more. We are aggressively getting into the market with great pricing.

The connection you use may be extreamly fast BUT you do not have the cheapest prices on the net.

NO NO NO. It is virtually impossible to transfer 320 GB of data per month using only 1 Mbps of bandwidth measured using 95 percentile.

your right. you will probably push max 200 gigs on a 1 mbit capped line.

Still works out to $1.15/gig which is pretty damn cheap bandwidth.

Yes, you'll push 200 GB on a 1 Mbps capped line but we are not talking about capped here, we are talking about 95 percentile so it's closer to 100 GB, even less if you post galleries and have traffic spikes.

Jamie is one of the most honest and reliable people I have ever met on the net.

now now, not taking sides here or trying to tell you which hosting to use...

just letting you know..as you asked..if I had heard of thumbservers...and I'm happy to put a good word in for a guy who's solid gold!
