Fresh traffic is a MUST!!

Now i know there was a post on this earlier, but i feel that it is an important factor in the CJ!

Some people have asked me for advice on what to do about falling traffic, my advice is whip up a new layout and
find some fresh traffic. What i mean by fresh traffic is, NEW TRAFFIC, surfers who haven't been in the CJ yet!
There are lots of ways to do this, TGP, Topsite.. But there has to be more ways. If it's not a big deal I would like
the webmsers/mistreses out there to brain storm some ideas on how we all can get some fresh traffic flowing. It'll
be good for us all. Especially the new guys!!

I myself pump in about 2k in topsite traffic every day. So that's my contribution to the mighty CJ Machine!

Banner swaps seem good for fresh traffic also. Usually I get about 1000 a day from them.

I also bring in a lot of 404 traffic. I mistakely send my 404 to a page where all the surfers that clicked something got to a 404 :-( D'oooh
And my realtime percentage dropped with 40%
SO I guess I'm pumping the CJ sites with 4-6K a day. :-)
I fixed the problem and my stats go up up up up again :-)

has anyone figured out how much of a percentage of new traffic you need to sustain a certain level of cj traffic? Example: 1k new people will make 10k worth of cj traffic? is there a % on this?

Yes I think bringing in fresh traffic is essential.. I personally get about 20-30% of my traffic from outside of script trades.
(IE. Toplists) So im usually bringing in atleast 20k of fresh surfers. Guess thats why my out clicks are good ehh...Donger? =)

I usualy put a link to the topsite in my CGI as well as a few in the HTML, if you keep it in the CGI it seems to die off. A good ratio on the cgi seems to help as well.

All right, then - this is as good a place as any to ask: Who can recommend some good toplists? I've been looking around, but the ones I see don't send back a fraction of what you send in (which I suppose is still good for exchanging old for new), and the ones that do send out more than you send in are chock full of "L0LIT4 R4P3" descriptions (ick.)

You might want to give www.RealLolitas.com (http://www.RealLolitas.com) a try, traffic is pretty good and the webmistress keeps control of the descriptions. They aren't as bad as some i have seen ;-)
