I've got two new free hosts going up, one Browser based File Manager, and hopefully soon one FTP.
Which do you guys prefer?
Also, what size space, bannerless on top?
Considering it all, your help would greatly increase putting out a product everyone can use.
Thanks in advance!

I don't like hosts without FTP.
I think 50 MB is enough http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
The less banners the better http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

without ftp, you can't get webmasters to your host http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
browser upload is shit!
if you can't open ftp access, try homefree 3.24
it have FTP import ability http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

ftp
disk space doesnt really matter since 40 gigs runs around $200 now a days

in response to XP - what the hell are you talking about?
I (and obviously you) dont use free hosts without FTP because I value my time and make huge websites. Lightning free does over 5 million impressions per day and is a manual upload system.

i don't have time to upload through a web-based file manager... plus if i want to use my tgsw on my paid host and my free host, there's too much reconfiguration involved.
gotta have ftp!
doesn't matter how much space. if you get enough hits, most free hosts will give you more space or let you sign up for another account.

Actually if someone could design a browser upload area based on ActiveX and Java/JavaScript with Drag-and-Drog features, smooth scrolling and folder changes, it would be worth it.
Especially a feature to queue files. That would recruit probably as many webmasters like you would be ftp, with no tough security probs.
Could be worth a try if you have the money. I saw something like it a few weeks ago and was amazed at the simplicity.

You realy should have at least 30mb else ppl will just create new acounts all the time.
And FTP is a must have.
