Shit or get off the pot!<br /><br />I think it's time we start fucking the surfer instead of fucking ourselves & each other. <br /><br />We can all sit around and piss & moan about the so called decline of the porn industry on the net, but what are you willing to do about it? It's our industry, it's our business, and if we are serious about making a living at this, we better be serious about taking charge of it. <br /><br />Now I don't claim to have all the answers, but I do have a few ideas....<br /><br />Traffic site owners...<br />Lighten up on some of the rules (min #pics, FPAs, consoles, # of ads per page, allow blind links, pics on html, encourage the use of sponsor content). Tighten up on some others (max #pics, no free hosts, no auto submits).<br /><br />Free site & gallery builders...<br />Don't use paid content for building free stuff...save it for your AVS, or pay sites. Use sponsor content for the free sites & galleries...eventually the surfer will get tired of seeing the same stuff over & over. If the traffic site owners modify their rules, you will still have a place to list to, and there are always the SEs.<br /><br />Pay site owners...<br />Get with the times, be inventive, give joe blow something he can't get anywhere else...we can promote the shit out of it...more money for you, more money for us.<br /><br />Now I run traffic sites, and am going to be rewriting my own linking rules. Is there anyone else that is willing to take a stand instead of just sitting around pissing & moaning?

damn, everytime I come here, I read another dumb post about people complaining that they can't make money anymore. Well I'm still doing fine in this industry, and I'm one that's trying to adapt to the surroundings, maybe that's why... As far as my future in this industry is concerned, well... it's no concern at all. I'd like to be a porn webmaster for the rest of my life, but I'm sure as hell not planning on it.<br /><br />It's called getting an education, and when you have one, then you can get a real job <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" />

PeepNTom, the pics on html was in my mind mainly for the link site owners...I've allowed them for years, and have never had a problem.<br /><br />Terrance11, I'm happy you are doing fine in this biz, and able to adapt to your surroundings.
