Well,
running with only 1 main sponsor is pure suicide...

It happened to me once too often that I have been left out in the cold by one big (per signup) sponsor.

Lesson learned now, I tell you!

I am going to split my main income into 3 baskets now. Of which atleast 2 will be recurring sponsors for a permanent $ stream.

Plus countless of complementary sponsors.
I just deposited 25 small time checks today. Which summed up to a nice total amount.

My advise is: Don`t let any sponsor account (per join or per click) grow bigger than $5k.
Build yourself a portfolio of income.

I learned it the hard way, and 1 lesson was not enough for a dumb blond like me http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

hey, dan, i hear ya! i never used only 1 sponsor... that seemed to trusting to me.

we deposit over 20 checks a week most weeks. some might be only $50 from some recurring program, but it all adds up! and if something goes wrong with one sponsor - well, we can still pay the rent ;-)

I'd try several sponsors simultaneously, and then leave the one which I did best with and which was paying me in full for several months.

What happen if there is only one sponsor that is available for a niche?

Do you put a bunch of other primary sponsors that have nothing to do with your niche? Or do you put secondary sponsors that complement your niche although the profit margin from those sponsors is very low (ie. videos & magazines sale)?

quotealex,

PEter I.

This is a good idea, but it involves to much work for me. I'm too lazy to update pictures galleries, write scripts, purchase more bandwidth.

Instead, I prefer to have a bunch of free mini sites with one to three main sponsors per site and as much as I can find secondary sponsors (ie. phone sex lines, video sales, sexshops, pay-per-clicks) for each niche I'm promoting.

When a main sponsor drop the ball on me, I stop promoting the site and concentrate on my other sites.

quotealex, do you have a niche in mind? i've never seen a niche where there is only one sponsor.

what i hate is signing up with a new sponser thats uses the ibill's revshare....

unlike ccbill you have to have different usernames and passwords for each account http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

thats why i like them big sponsers with several niches....can easily track them better

Yes, there's live nude women wrestling among others. I beleive only CE offers this niche as a sponsorship (or at least one of the fiews). I may be wrong.

The're others, but the niches are more in terms of language.
