Hi everybody,
here are my 2 Cents to the subject "pop ups".
My name is Janni, webmaster of a-zfreepix.com and I started my first CJ site about 2 weeks ago. I had a click ratio of 2.2 without any pop ups. Then someone wrote me on ICQ I needed to have enter and exit pop ups to get "more" out of every person. So as I was new to this CJ thing I did it. I've put 1 enter and 1 exit consol and on that exit consol another one. Thats it. Great thing I thought, cause I got some more hits from "big hitters". After a few days my signups at my sponsors went down, my click ratio went extremly down and I DIDN'T WENT TO MY OWN SITE, as I hate pop ups. Three days ago I got an email from a surfer and he said "Your site sucks. I hate this fu.... pop ups. My computer crashed and I had to restart it, fu.. you moron."
Like that email???
I guess he clicked on a link and he got to a site with 1000's of enter/exit consoles and was pissed, Than he shuts my site down and there comes another pop up and after this one more. Now, what would you do???
Here is what I did. Redisign! No enter consol, one exit consol on the index site and even this with "onclick=exit=false" if he clicks on the link to "enter my next site".
I cleaned up my site and my signups are comming back. My click ratio gets better too and my traffic goes up too.
So anybody out there who thinks the same ICQ me at #6919124 or send me an email at trades@a-zfreepix.com
47930 hits yesterday. I know, not that much but I'm sure better quality than I would have 100000+ with 100's of pop ups
