Telnet problem - help anyone?

Ok, i'm telnetting to a new server, and login fine.

(i'm using the standard windows telnet)

But whenever i type (echo on) i see two of the character i type..

ie, i type "ls" and my echo is llss or lsls if i type fast. I hit enter, the command is executed ok.

I check my server logs, and the command is "ls" but why is my windows terminal printing double!?!!!??

teminal -> preferences -> local echo

just local echo, put it out

You shouldn't use local echo option.....
Telnet daemon echoes the characters itself on the server. The option local echo is intended for example for connecting to the mail server using telnet to port 25 , where the character are not echoed remotely
