Dumb question?

I just want to ask dumb question. Is it faster to make thumb and post it as whole on site or use normal sized pic and set width and height as thumb. Is there any difference between loading times?

If you use the normal pic as the thumbnail (setting width and height to small as you said) it will tkae ages to load and you will piss surfers off big time.

what i do is make thumbs ,then compress the thumbs,if they don't distort to bad.they load really quick this way

my average pic size on galleries is 22k and my average thumb is 2.2k, so it would take about ten times as long to load.

get a copy of thumbs plus and it will make the thumbs, link them, and put them in a table on a page for you.
