by which method do you prefer paying for your hosting?
-per gig?
-95th percentile?
-per mbps?
and do you prefer a different method for different types of traffic? (c/j, tgp, avs, linklist, s/e)

With 95th percentile your going to pay alot thats for sure..
Really 95th percentile should apply to Tier 2/3 isps where their peak is 60 - 80 mbps more than their average bandwidth usuage

It doesnt matter, you will still pay the same thing, just find the lowest price and compare the billing method.
Its the same 100$ just different bills http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif 5 x20 or 10x10 would still be the same 100

Yellofello, "per mbps?" you mean capped, right?
"you will still pay the same thing"
No, paying $1.5 per GB based on average is a much better price than paying $1 per GB based on 95 percentile.

Energy, what i am saying is in the END, you will charge the same equivalent per gig as per megabit, to make the same profit as your cost statys the same, capish?

energy: yep i meant capped
was wondering if most people try to limit their b/w costs by using capped connections (i would think not for c/j sites, but what about other stuff?)
i always check relation between how much money is spend and how many GB traffic i get
thats it

yellofello, it all depends on your business model, and how your traffic flows through the day.
any method with a right company will give you a good price.
