I've just bought a password script (password sentry) through ibill and I donated a dollar to some kiddy charity at the same time (you had to uncheck the box on the sign up page if you didn't want to donate).

Looks like a good idea to me. Any chance of you lot doing that?

PS: How many emails do I have to send to get my money wired?
Does I bill take 15% of that 1$ for processing?

Abby

They haven't just stuck it on peoples sign up pages without their consent have they?

I had an ibill account. You can't adapt the pages. Is there an option in the admin area to turn it off?

As I understand it you have to email IBill and ask them to have the box unchecked by default. I don't mind the idea, but not asking permission isn't the right way to go about it. I don't think IBill even emailed people in advance of the change.

o look another reason for surfers not to trust porn sites. billing companies decide to make extra charges without making a decent effort to inform the surfer.

smart move ibill

I don't think it's a good idea to bring up "charities" or good causes on a porn site, it brings one second closer to them clicking the "x"

I want my surfers horny and ready to pull our their wallet, not thinking about some starving kid or wife who got beaten...

This is SMUT, get back to pushing it like a real man.

Looks like CCBill are fucked too. They're taking sales, but not adding the members. I'm having to do it all manually.

I reckon donations are a good idea, only if the webmaster has total control over it though (like prices).

Paypal take subscriptions. They're crap though. No instant access. You have to verify your account and that takes a month!!!

Looks like your going to have to swallow your pride and go with ccbill.

As far as the ibill business is concerned, that's totally fucked up. They're not their sites. How dare they shove forced donations on subscribers. That's totally unacceptable. If they want to give money, then they can take it out of their profits.

It's a shame those political parasites aren't so keen on bringing in that international transaction tax (1% on all transacations for the third world - $50 billion a year, enough to pay for global sanitisation ten times over!!!). Shunga's right, picking on porn sites implies there's something bad about it.

PORNO ROCKS

Fact of life.

The only people who have a problem with it are those that are in kahoots with the devil.

MC/EC + VISA = f*cking monopoly (much worse than M$ in my humble opinion), regardless both Ibill´s, CCbill´s size, they must play according their rules.
my personal experience:
1. ccbill
2. ibill (horrible rebills, last two weeks under 15 per cent)
3. globill ( my personal CCs *never* went through, issued in CZ, AT, DE banks, same feedback from *several* surfers who had balls to send me a message)

What, stick that link on my sign up page?

I could do, but it wouldn't be as effective as sticking an extra dollar on the sign up price, and donating that instead (people don't like making extra clicks). I don't even know if they're a proper cause either (a lot of charities exist purely to give do-gooders a well paid job - primarily the ones that 'educate' as opposed to 'do something' about a problem).

I don't see how it'd make me live longer though!

copland -

NO, we don't intend to do any such donation, and we would never do something like that without warning our site owners or giving them the chance to remove it entirely from their join pages.

As for the animal stuff, if you're using us to process that, you're account will be terminated including the rebills. Visa's made a new rule regarding bestiality and fake bestiality and we stopped processing rebills and new joins on it almost two weeks ago. I'm sure a few sites probably slipped through the cracks since we ran a check against domain names, but as we find any others they are being terminated. We will not be processing any of these transactions, even on non-Visa sales.

Sorry to break the news to you, but Visa makes the rules and we have to follow them.

copland -

Somehow I missed the bottom of your email -- did you fill out the change form at http://ccbill.com ? to get the money wired? If you did and it hasn't been fixed, then email me -- if not then grab one of those and send it back to us with the new info on it and they will change it.

We can't just make changes to your account without being sure it's you and making sure we've got a sig on all the docs...

What, for my last ever pay cheque.

I never sent you an email. I sent four in total, but they were to different people. I kept getting bounced around.

I filled the form in with the second email. I can send it again if you've lost it.

It doesn't matter if the cheques are going to dry up. It's just that they take ages to come, and another 28 days to clear (foreign currency), so my outgoings are a month in advacnce and my incomings up to two months or more in arrears (big headache).

I should have said missed the bottom of your post, not email, my bad. I haven't seen an email from you -- once again, if you didn't do the change form, you've got to do that prior to us making any changes to your account, it's just the way our system works.

We mail checks every Monday to each account that's hit the minimum, not much we can do about the mail system or the banks in a foreign country

EscortBiz,
Actually CVV2 does not make it much easlier for disputes. It does not help you fuight chargebacks. It is a good option for the initial scrubbing though. We recommend it and offer it to our merchants as well if they wish to require irt or leave it as an optional field.
Thank you, Mitch Farber
