I'm not a lawyer but I have had a few experiences from their type in the last 2-3 years. Maybe you should share the problem first and see what others can share on the topic.

Ok,
Here,s the story:
3 month ago we bought some content from a company, we have full documentation contract and so on.
Now we have got a letter about copyright infrigment about this material from another companys lawer.
We now for a fact that this is bullshit , the company we bought it from have all the model releases and so on....
So my question is really: How should we respond to this on a official and legal way??

Very interesting. If I may ask, who are the 2 parties? I understand if you don't want to release them, but if it's a major player like Playboy, you may need to contact a lawyer to ensure there's no problems. If you have the documentation from your content provider that should be sufficient. Just fire that off to the lawyer and tell them further disputes should be settled with your supplier, not you. That's just my opinion, don't hold me to it or anything...

The original supplier is in a much better position to handle it as they know much more about the content and where it originated from. I'd give their contact details to the people who contacted you. It could be a genuine misunderstanding, or it could be a crude shakedown.
