UCJ version2 installation

I'm setting up this script and when I click on CronJob icon to add/edit user nothing happens. It is supposed to be because the paths/permissions are wrong but I'm sure they are right but I didn't setup a Cronjob for the file cgi-bin/ucjdata.cgi because I don't know how and where to setup it. Please help. Thanks !

That script is old and doesn't count productivity. You should get a new free script like CJPro or Strict-CJ

I allready use CJPro but I have no groth with my sites. I assumed that the script doesn't work properly so this is why I though that it would be better with UCJ. Can you tell me please where I can found Strict-CJ ?

CJPro works well and I think it's a nice free script. I reached 40k when I was using it.
I think you should talk to Jimbo (icq 3602093) for Strict-CJ

reach 40k doesnt mean it is a good script
if you are sending in fresh traffic and have a very good design ... it wont be a problems


but the way cjpro control the traffic is not good ...

True, but it's to demonstrate that if your site doesn't succeed it doesn't mean it must be cjpro's fault.
I think cjpro manages traffic quite well, for a free script ofcourse.

UCJ 1.3 was the last free version I released. I developed productivity tracking in my next release which was the first non-free version of UCJ-C.

with no fresh traffic and your design is no good
i really want to know how did you do that

well i am at good like you but i did get up to 70k with cjpro with fresh traffic and ok design


cjpro dont have hourly stats
you wont able to know how much someone sent you in an hour except you look very close with your stats

and calculation to determine how to send out traffic is not good enough

UCJ will take about 10 sites each 2 mins to the outgoing list and percent each site to sent out

this may work better than just calculate the whole list

cj .. ltra may be a bit better on the control of the traffic and have hourly stats

i would suggestion ppl to use cj ltra then use cjpro or old ucj

i want to try Strict-CJ too never try it out
but i think he is beginning to use UCJ instead of his ower script

Well, the design sucked (it still does, I'll have to work in it), but I guess the prod was not that bad http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif And not selling the exit traffic for some fast bucks helps a lot.

I still don't see the importance of hourly stats other than discovering sites that canceled our trade...

I don't know wich method of managing traffic is better, but as long as I remember I only had to put 200% return to all sites and cjpro managed to send fair hits to every trade.

Tim, we're talking about UCJ 1.3, ofcourse. Meo must have confused it with version 2.
