I started in the beta6 days too!
God those were the days, when you got this huge rush out of the game, and everyone worked as a team... man I miss those days, when everyone had about the same ping, and when you felt like you were this badass special force guy... and the game ran fast and there were no cheaters. When there were hardly 2000 servers...

Counter Strike is BAD FOR YOU!!! VERY BAD! Like someone already said, it will ruin your life. I used to run nice big site with 100k a day and Counter Strike has killed it down to 15k. BAD! Don't play it! Trash it like I did.
