Hey Guys,
I just purchased a Presario 700 laptop. It isn't the nicest thing in the world but I wanted something portable yet cheap.
I am trying to use snag it to get screen shots of movies but when I capture the movie, the output is just black. I've rebooted and just had that program open and the same thing happens over and over again. Any ideas?
Also, I do not want to load Photoshop on here but I do need to resize some images. Is there a program that is small and allows me to "save for the web" like Adobe Photoshop does?
Thanks for your help as always.
select as an input -> object

Open the movie twice and then make a screenshot. That will do the trick.
i have compaq 550 lap since last year, but rarely even use it. the thing i hate is slow speed and damn touchpad, but if you plug in cordless mouse, it helps
other than than laps are pretty cool and could be useful. I wait for amd to release their faster portable before upgrading, lol

theo,
I used this on my previous computer and snagit worked fine. I have that option already selected but it is still coming up with a black screen when I click inside the movie. If I click on anything else like the title bar snagit works perfectly.
I also pulled up two movies at once then tried to take some screen shots but it only worked like 1 out of 20 times.
Snagit is working great and I can take screen shots of ANYTHING other than movies. Do you think it could be a problem with my video card maybe?
i'm not sure if it's the v.card, i don't thinnk so. The following are the details that worked for me:
input: object
output: file - BMP
Filters: None
Options: None
sometimes it doesnt work with the first try
you have to "insist" to get the s/shoot. You know you did it right when you see the prompt for the file name and you still can see paused scene.

I use snag it to take screen shots with movie clips. My older computer was a 900 MHZ machine running Windows ME. I never had any problems with snag it but sometimes I had to press the capture command twice in order to get a screen shot.
I just changed my computers to a Compaq Presario 700 which is running Windows XP. I installed snag it and tried to take some screen shots of movie clips and never worked. I could take screen shots of anything else except movie clips.
I then went to your web site and downloaded the newest version of snag it. I am still having the same problems as before. I can snag anything else but not the movie clips.
I have snag it set to...
Input - Object
Filters - None
Output - jpeg
Options - Preview
Any thoughts?
