New Host-UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH!!!!!

Hey everyone.I have just found the BEST hosting company I have EVER seen!!!! The just gave me a plan where I host 6 .com sites on 1 plan I get UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH,yes I said unlimited!! I got 1 gigabyte worth of diskspace and they have 24 hours support not only for the plans but support for get the most amount of traffic and even tell you how to set up cgi scripts or whatever you want! I pay 100 bucks a month for this.Which is 200.00 cheaper than anyone else I have ever found.

Tell you what kevykev will they let me do 200gig a month transfer? If so LMK and I will move one of my sites to them. I am not bad mouthing anyone but trust me thier is NO SUCH thing as unlimited bandwidth. Sure if you have a new site doing 10 gig a month that is great but wait until you start doing 100-200 gig a month and I bet it don't work for them anymore and it is no longer unlimited.

I do about 75 gigs a month right now with all my sites so I'm not up to 200 gigs yet but I'm sure they would work with you they basically let me pick what I want and what I wanted to pay! Just check 'em out it can't hurt

When I first started out I used unlimited guys....got poor speeds and when I would do any traffic they talked about upping the price. See when you have a lot of little sites doing 75 gig total it is different then one site doing 75 gig. It puts a lot bigger strain on the server. Anyways lets check out the speed can we have a url of yours?

I agree with shane in you get what you pay for man. If you start pulling in mad amounts of traffic I bet you your site goes down, ummmm, around 4 oclock for about 10 minutes or so, then, when you get on support and say, my site is down, it goes back up, but then you leave, and its down, etc... I've been at hosts like those man. BULLLLSHHIIITT!!!
you get what you pay for. if you pay $500 a month for 200 gigs then its probably some damn good shit! EH?

Hey kevykev, they offer unlimited bandwidth, but the don't hold to that. when I started getting over 100 gb a month, then they told me that they would be charging extra for every gb over 100.

I know what the plan says it says 50 gigs BUT I talked to the owner Mike and we worked out a plan which gave me 1 gig of space room for 6 domains and UNLIMITED bandwidth. but and a little but! lol He said if I go over 200 gigs THEN I would pay alittle more.Anyway I still thinks it's a good . cheap deal and am glad to find them if ya sign up with them tell them you want the plan that 4freecams.com is on!

i do over 600 gig a month on motivated months. if your host pays 50 cents a gig, he's gotta charge me over that to make his money. he isn't going to pay to host you.

besides, the catch with unlimited hosting is they either put you on a choked line or they have a very standard contract that says if you use more than 20% of the cpu, you must move to a dedicated.

While we are at it: Anyone could have a look a http://www.cogentco.com/ and tell me that this not true? They say 100 MBit for $1,000. And if that wasn't enougth, ping and put thru are probably the best I've seen so far. Do they mean downstream connection only? And notice that they say 3,000 for content providers. 1,000 only for house owners where they can put the pipe into your building. Unfortuantely I'm not in the US but I told that I would rent a office for that but they don't seem to like answering me so that makes me kinda suspicious. 3,000 would be a helluva price as well. I'd say they suck and would't post this but look at what they say about how they are financed and that they have a xxx Million deal with Cisco and so on. They seem to be for sure.

And no, they say not 100 MBit burstable, it's supposed to be full 100 MBit just for you and with no other stuff on that line. Won't that mean that we would have to pay much less for hosting soon? And how can they deal with other backbone providers when they exchange traffic with them, will they carry a shitload of their traffic for that few bucks? Well at this point I just haven't enough knowledge about backbones and international peering and the like.

something doesn't seem right there. All the tier1s are having fiberoptic now. cogentco only serves metropolitan areas at this time. OC192 is pretty damn impressive, so maybe they split them for 100 mbps, but sell them for $1000 a month? If it's fully dedicated, plus they say they'd bring the line into your building for free? Just hard to believe even if I was in New York. But who knows, anything is possible nowadays. BTW, just pinged cogentco.com, average 150 from me, but my network is 100 average. Though ping is not an indication of speed.
Any ISP gurus around with opinion on this subject?
