You can try Arles from www.digitaldutch.com. (http://www.digitaldutch.com.)
I'm pretty sure they have a free trial but it's not expensive to buy.

Photoshop/Notepad can do it all!

I prefer to crop my own thumbs in photoshop and it gives me the look/quality i want. Once i have a template built i can simply crop more thumbs and make a new folder to have a new galery using same layout. Then Notebad to change Title / Text and or URL to sponsors.

I tried photoshop, but doesn't have much options. I mean u can't even customize ur galleries and the pics open in a .htm extension.

You can record and action in Photoshop to do almost anything you want.

I use Photoshop to resize all my thumbnails and most of other stuff.

Homesite is also handy mainly for the preview features and different colors on tags. But I prefer to write all the codes by hand. It's much more browser compatible and codes are very compact and optimized.

Now that most AVS services won't accept template galleries anymore we'll all needs to do more work on our AVS sites.

we have free software that makes galleries, and submits them, the only thing is, we also give you a domain and free hosting too, so not sure if that would be too much or not.

You do have to provide your own content

all my contact info can be found in my profile if interested

Template galleries is mini sites which basicly use the same set of HTML codes.

Only difference is title graphic and pictures and content.

The layout and tables is essentially identical.

actually, photoshop is the strongest graphic tool out there... just don't use it to build the html pages, but do your graphic work..

frontpage is the easiest to use when it comes to making pages..

I'm just used to a WYSIWYG, that's why I use frontpage... and then I go in notepad to fix what frontpage does wrong lol

I am doing the same although I know it is a little bit stupid , but I am way to lazy to write all htm by hand

Heck the easest WYSIWYG to use I've ever seen is Claris Homepage. Don't think you can buy it any more though. I must have tried 10 to 15 WYSIWYG editors, have not found one that comes close to ease of use as Claris. Don't need one that does ever thing but the wash, Am just doing free porn pages.

I changed to Dreamweaver 4.0 several months ago, and couldn't be happier. I build the templates, change if needed for a niche and then use compupic for the image work.

Compupic has some excellent graphics conversion routines. Too many to list, but I love the batch conversion section.

It will also generate html pages for pictures you select from the viewer. Lots of features, check it out.
