Bandwidth usage on galleries

How much bandwidth would you expect to need if you had a gallery that gets 200,000 hits a day? Assuming about 15pics on the gallery.

You can calculate this by yourself, it's not so hard :)

Or you can just try and see, submit your gallery and get lets say 20k/day or 2k/day, see how much bandwidth you are usgin and that's all.

That pretty much depends on the file size of the pics, but at 80k each, I'd say about 20 - 25 gig of bandwith, 15 gig if you are lucky

do the math

15 5k thumbs = 75k x 200,000 = 15000000k
add 2 pics average per surfer so another 60k is another 12000000k

so that's 27000000k

you can figure out the rest ;-)

yea, better of going worse case scenario, and being happy when you dont burn as much as you thought you would.
