View Full Version : Any SE experts around?
I am no expert when it comes to SE traffic, but i am making a huge effort to get educated in the process of gaining SE traffic.
Now here is my question.
Since i have the domain AdultSite.tv would i get a better listing for the search key words "Adult Site"? Or does the domain make any difference at all?
I hope it does because according to http://inventory.go2.com/inventory/Search_Suggestion.jhtml?term=adultsite there are 29,755 searches for the key words "Adult Site" And i wouldn't mind having those hits!

i guess i should learn to spell first.. hehe Oh well problems come with a fast W/min speed.
Another quickie, where do i buy keywords? I've looked for hours and i am just getting more frustrated.
well they say not to use any one word over 3 times....... so keeping that in mind, here is what I would do... and I am by no means a guru..... but since I don't see anyone else offering to help... let me see if I can put what I have learned to use here:
make sure you use plurals wherever and however you can on any and all words....... in the SEs it will still show the singular word, but will also show the plurals, btu it won't show the plural if you don't have them in there.
Ok, now...... use little phrases like free adult sites, chat with amateurs, adult amateurs content, top 100 adult sites..... things like that... rarely do people ever just type in one word in a SE, they type them in in phrases, so you need to hit on the phrases...... of course change where it says amateurs to whatever you are running.. gays, lesbians... whatever...... also.... use as many of those words as you can.. but never more than 3 times because they see that as spam and won't list you as often.... they are catching that sort of thing now.
I am not sure if this makes any sense or helps you alot, but it's something to think about, and what I do and I have a decent standing in a few SEs
As Far as I know the domain makes huge difference, Ron you definately want to target that.
I am no expert either but heres a place were you will find alot of answers like keyword density, meta tags alt tags. the whole nine yards

Much help thus far, http://searchengineforums.com seems to be the mecca for SE guru's. So i think i'll hang around there for a few weeks. Take some notes and get started on this key word project.
Seems like i have got myself a real winner of a domain when it comes to the key word side of things.
makes me smile when i get razed about spending $750 on the domain.

In my experience domains do make a difference, however I have found that hyphenated domain names pick up better hits ie: adult-sites rather than adultsites.
Don't take my word for it though http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

In yahoo (especially) if you are in their directory, the first thing they look for is domain name keywords (ie www.big-tit-pics.com) (http://www.big-tit-pics.com)) would come up in the top 10 if the user searched for big tit, or even tit pics. If you are seriously considering trying to get SE traffic, i would suggest that you make a new domain with hypenated keywords. I know this from personal experience. I dont know how it works with other SE's but with yahoo, i am.

well i am not too worried about the domain name. I have found hyphenated domains to be harder for return surfers to remember. Which won't be much of a concern since the main body of the page is in some sort of CJ format.
But i am setting up other services on this domain, such as sub-domain services, legit TGP and others. And if my url was adult-site.tv i know for a fact that i would be missing out on a % of traffic. Or even word of mouth, it's easyer to say AdultSite.tv than it is to describe Adult-site.tv. Just my thoughts
breest: the same goes for all SE's i guess, as it was explained to me.
It's kinda odd how some thing so small as seperating your meta key words with a comma could cost you a top10 listing. SE's seem to be VERY picky. Though the traffic is worth your time http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

i don't think SE is gonna be any better than it was since inktomi had paid submissions....it was said that you get some sort of bad alogarithm hit on you for submitting to their SE's for free...
i know there other SE's but doesn't inktomi have the most of the net using it
what do ya think?

I don't know, But on of my friends Nic who owns http://www.free-nude-celeb-pics.com gets all the traffic from people searching for:
free nude celeb pics
free nude celebs
free celeb pics
free nude pics
free pics
Try it =)
Ohh and he has some damn good quality traffic (for a CJ site)
Yeah once my credit card is payed off, i'm going to invest in some "Key word" domains. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Then do some tweaking and do some submitions. And hopefully have some good quality SE traffic on my hands!
